Blogging About Oogie Boogies?

Blogging is easy. Blogging for kids is not. Yesterday, I found myself blogging about the Oogie Boogies! How strange is that? Well, in all reality, it was quite fun.
I will continue to blog for the kids in The Story Time blog from the The Creative Creation stories. My message for the kids is this. What we put into our minds and hearts, creates something within us that eventually comes out. In the case of the Oogie Boogies, Tommy played with a scary little video game until he couldn’t sleep at night. The Oogie Boogies chasing Tommy, long after he turned off the silly little game, were just as real to him as the blanket he used to cover his head. Eventually, his mommy convinced him the Oogie Boogies are only his imagination, it’s ok to be afraid and that Jesus will help him get rid of the fear, even though he created it for himself.
The lesson for Tommy’s mom was obvious. Less time playing video games and more time outside having fun at the park.
